My Project
UFLI Foundations is an explicit and systematic program that teaches students the foundational skills necessary for proficient reading. It follows a carefully developed scope and sequence designed to ensure that students systematically acquire each skill needed and learn to apply each skill with automaticity and confidence. The students will do this by completing a daily lesson, playing the provided targeted skill-based games, and applying their newly developing skills while reading the provided decodable passages. The program is designed for core instruction in the primary grades or intervention with struggling students in any grade. I would like to use this resource with my intervention students and share the ideas and strategies I acquire with my colleagues. I look forward to seeing the growth my students will make if given the opportunity to use this resource!
