Marc Moro (born July 17, 1977) is a former Canadian ice hockey player who served as the inaugural captain of the Toronto Marlies, the Toronto Maple Leafs’ American Hockey League affiliate club. The Ottawa Senators selected him in the second round, 27th overall, in the 1995 NHL Entry Draft.
He played with the Senators from 1995 to 199For the most of his junior hockey career, Marc was a member of the Kingston Frontenacs from 1993 to 1997, as well as the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds for a portion of the 1996–97 season. Marc made his professional hockey debut with the Prince Edward Island Senators of the American Hockey League (AHL) during the 1995–96 season before being returned to the amateur ranks. Marc Moro was never a member of the Ottawa Senators and never wore their uniform. He was transferred to the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim alongside Ted Drury in 1996 in exchange for Jason York and Shaun Van Allen, who went on to play for the Ducks. The Mighty Ducks of Anaheim would be the team where he would make his NHL debut, albeit he would only appear in one game during the 1997–98 season. He would be traded to the Nashville Predators the following season, along with goalkeeper Chris Mason, in exchange for goaltender Dominic Roussel. After being appointed as the first captain in the history of the Toronto Marlies in October 2005, Marc Moro made hockey history once again. Additionally, Marc served as the St. John’s Maple Leafs’ 15th and last captain during the 2004–05 American Hockey League season.
